A construction certificate has been granted for a $9.5m mixed-use development, consisting of 34 residential apartments, three retail shops, and an 84-place childcare centre at 36 to 38 Showground Rd, Gosford.
Deferred consent for the development was granted in January 2016. The site is located in the Gosford City Centre, in an area undergoing infill redevelopment to increase housing density.
The development will provide two one-bedroom apartments, 25 two-bedroom apartments, and seven with three bedrooms, to give a total of 34 dwellings.
The childcare centre will provide a necessary service, with a convenient location in the city centre for residents and employees.
The ground floor retail component provides an active street frontage to Showground Rd.
The Construction Certificate obtained on May 17 will cover site establishment, bulk excavation, shoring, piling and capping only.
