The 2018 Bay2Bay Running Festival, was held on June 17. The event featured a 12km fun run and a 21km half marathon, both starting from Fishermans’ Wharf on the Woy Woy waterfront, and concluding at Central Coast Stadium, Gosford.
The 3km kids fun run for children aged 7-12, also returned. The Half Marathon was taken out by, Reece Edwards and Celia Sullohern, in the Men’s and Women’s competition, with, Jack Colreavy and Claire Ashworth, in second, and, Guy Walters and Regina Jensen, in third.
The 12km was won by, Andrew Land and Michelle Pearson, followed by, Mark Warren and Fiona Yates, in second, and, Charlie Brooks and Jessica Mitchell, in third. The final count for the funds raised for the 2018 Bay2Bay is still being confirmed but Terrigal Trotters’, Ms Jenny Baker, who said that due to the increase in entrants this year, she expected the 2018 event to smash the $70,000 raised during the 2017 event.
