Koch and Simpson to represent NSW

Members of Shelly Beach Surf Life Saving Club, James Koch and Thomas Simpson, have been chosen to represent NSW in the Australian Pool Rescue Championships in South Australia in August.
They were chosen as part of a team of 22 to represent the State.
Both boys will be first-time competitors at the national level and impressed judges at the recent state titles held in Woy Woy, where they both medalled extensively, to earn themselves a place in the competition.
Koch earned himself 11 medals in total, including eight gold, two silver and a bronze, and Simpson secured five gold, two bronze and one silver medal.
The Shelly Beach members have commenced training with the NSW squad before travelling to South Australia.
