Focus on domestic violence not terrorism

Letters to the editor

[Forum] Domestic violence is the real terrorism here in Australia. Politicians bay like werewolves about the risks and evils of terrorism and spend billions of dollars fighting terrorism and American wars.

It is 40 years since the Hilton Bombing, and in that period up to now, about 12 people have been killed here in Australia by terrorist acts, while in the same time, about 2,000 women have been killed by domestic violence, an average of one woman a week. Imagine, one politician a week been killed by domestic violence. It would not happen, these protected species would be protected by a ring of security 24/7, thanks to the Australian taxpayer. Direct action may be the only way to protect the women of Australia.
