High frequency limited stops Express Bus Services to start operating

Central Coast residents commuting between The Entrance and Gosford or Tuggerah, will no longer need timetables, with the introduction of a new express bus service.
Transport Minister, Andrew Constance, announced the high frequency, limited stops Express Bus Services will start operating by the end of the year.
“Central Coast will be the first express service to be rolled out across NSW.
“There’ll be a bus every 15 minutes, between 5am and 8am in the morning peak, and from 4pm to 7pm in the afternoon peak,” Minister Constance said.
“These buses will have limited stops and will get people where they need to go quicker and more reliably,” he said.
There will be just four stops between The Entrance and Gosford CBD, cutting journey time to 45 minutes.
Proposed stop locations on the new Gosford express route are: The Entrance, Long Jetty shops, Bateau Bay opposite the shopping centre, Wamberal – Ocean View Dve, Erina Heights – Serpentine Rd, Gosford CBD.
There will also be a service from The Entrance to Tuggerah, with a journey time of about 30 minutes.
Proposed stop locations on the new Tuggerah express route are: The Entrance, Long Jetty shops, Bateau Bay shops, Wyong Rd, Killarney Vale shops, Berkeley Vale, Bundilla Pde, Tuggerah Station.
NSW Liberal candidate for the Entrance, Brian Perrem, confirmed that existing bus routes will continue as usual for customers not travelling to the above locations.
“We want to reassure our customers that services to all stops will continue.
“The Gosford and Tuggerah Express buses will just be a new option, and I’m sure the community will embrace it.”
