Big changes in leadership at Kariong Public School

Kariong Public School has announced that both its Principal and Deputy Principal will be moving on by the end of the 2019 school year.
“Our Principal, Vicki Redrup, visited the school last week to announce that she will be retiring next term,” said Relieving Principal, Toni Skinner.
“After a long and successful career in education, with many years as Principal at Pretty Beach, Hornsby Heights and of course here at Kariong, it is wonderful to see Mrs Redrup enjoying time with her husband, grandchildren and family.
“Mrs Redrup plans to visit the students soon to say goodbye.
“She has been a wonderful leader of Kariong Public School for the past six years and I know she will be dearly missed.
“Staffing will fill the Principal position here during Term 2,” Skinner said.
Deputy Principal, Justine Abell, has also vacated her position at the school.
“Staffing notified me late last week that, Sondra Broadhurst, has been appointed to Kariong as the substantive Deputy from the start of Term 2.
“Mrs Rayner has been in this position for the past 18 months and has been an outstanding leader and mentor.
“Although this position has been filled, Mrs Rayner will remain in the office and will continue to work closely with myself and Ms Broadhurst,” Skinner said.
