Umina’s Jemma Smith has been named in three Paddle Australia teams that will contest international competitions over the coming months.
She was named to both the Under-21’s Canoe Sprint Asia Pacific team and the Women’s Under-23 World Championship team, as well as Paddle Australia’s provisional 2019 Ocean Racing World Championships Under-23 Women’s team.
Jemma will first appear with the Under-21’s Canoe Sprint Asia Pacific team when the 2019 Asia Pacific Sprint Cup gets underway at Lake Karapiro, New Zealand, in May.
From there, she will go into training for the Under-23’s World Championships being held in Pitesti, Romania, this August.
Her year will be rounded out with the Ocean Racing World Championships in Saint-Pierre De Quiberon, France, from September.
