In celebration of NAIDOC Week, the Naughty Noodle Fun Haus is bringing a line-up of LGBTIQ Indigenous artists to Gosford’s Laycock St Theatre for its inaugural NAIDOC Nylon.
Showcasing both renowned and emerging fringe ‘Faboriginal’ and Torres Strait Islander performance artists, NAIDOC Nylon is a celebration of culture and community wrapped up in an evening of fierce, genre bending entertainment.
Naughty Noodle Artistic Director, Glitta Supernova, said the audience can expect all things adventurous and unorthodox as these artists explore their ideas and approach to storytelling in bold new ways.
“From burlesque to drag, performance art to illusion, come celebrate with these pioneering artists and renegades bearing offerings that can, and often do, reshape and expand views.
“Support independent artists highlighting their proud history and ongoing fight for equality and recognition by the mere definition of their performance offering,” Supernova said.
NAIDOC Nylon gets underway from 8pm on July 6.
