Animal rescue operation succeeds

Members of the Central Coast Volunteer Rescue Squad conducted an animal rescue operation in Watanobbi on June 17.
The Squad arrived after reports that a dog had become trapped under a fence, and arrived to find 9-year-old Shitzu, Bentley, well and truly stuck.
“Bentley had tried to do his best Steve McQueen impersonation by trying to escape his yard and into the next door neighbour’s, unfortunately getting himself wedged in the process,” said Squad President, Joel Dawes.
Crews had to disassemble the fence in order to free the pooch, who escaped without injury.
