Bateau Bay’s, Jasmine McCorquodale, has taken out the Under 18 Girls state title at the 2019 Australian Skin Cancer Clinics Longboard State Titles.
The Titles were held over three days at Port Stephen’s Long Mile Beach from June 20-22.
McCorquodale had a dream run through the competition, easily landing in the finals, where she was up against Banora Point’s, Rani Stevenson, Avalon’s, Blaze Roberts, and Cook Hill’s, Ava Robertson.
It came down to McCorquodale and Stevenson, but she pulled ahead to take the lead and the title.
McCorquodale was one of several Coasties contesting the titles, with Empire Bay’s, Tom Payne, joining her on the podium after taking out the Open Men’s Log.
Other Coasties came close, with Blue Bay’s, Danny Bond, taking third in the Men’s Over 65, MacMasters Beach’s, Erin Judd, second in the Open Women’s Log, and Bateau Bay’s, Keanu Earle and Jayden Rae, third in the Under 18 Boys and Open Men’s Log respectively.
