More than 200 delegates are in Terrigal until November 1 for the 2019 Coastal Conference.
They include academics, government professionals, and experts who will discuss the theme of connecting coast, catchment and community at the 28th event.
Central Coast Mayor, Lisa Matthews, said hosting the conference was not only an important opportunity to showcase the region’s environment, but it offered staff the chance to share their experience and knowledge.
“We were delighted when we found out last year that our bid to host the Coastal Conference was successful and I extend a warm welcome to all the delegates making the trip and hope that they can take advantage of all that the Central Coast has to offer,” Clr Matthews said.
